Small lateral incisors

Close-up of smile with composite bonding shade guide

Starting Point

The teeth were well aligned, but the lateral incisors were naturally smaller, leaving the smile feeling slightly out of proportion.

Approach

Composite was added selectively to the lateral incisors to improve width and proportion while maintaining the patient's natural tooth shapes.

Composite bonding, explained

A conservative, additive approach to smile refinement.

Composite bonding uses tooth-coloured resin to refine tooth shape and proportion, rebuild worn edges, close small gaps and make subtle refinements after orthodontic treatment, often with little or no removal of healthy enamel.

The aim is simple: change what needs refining, preserve what does not.
